You may have seen signs with some messages in your neighborhood. They offer us an all-or-nothing package deal—in short, a secular creed. In this class we will disentangle the beliefs Christians gladly affirm from those they cannot embrace, and discuss how to talk with our neighbors about the things that matter most. Far from opposing love across difference, We will determine that Christianity is the original source and firmest foundation for true diversity, equality, and life-transforming love.

The Gospel Project

The Gospel Project takes men and women on a chronological, Christ-centered journey through the storyline of Scripture. Our fall study covers the split o fIsrael into northern and southern kingdoms (Israel and Judah), God’s continued pursuit of His people, their continued rebellion, and God’s promise that one day new hearts and new life would come to humanity—a promise fulfilled by faith in Jesus Christ.

Intepreting Biblical Narratives

Most of the Bible is written in historical narrative format. While narratives can be an effective form of communication through the use of stories, they can also present some challenges for readers—Christians and non-Christians alike. That’s because the meaning of biblical narratives are usually undercurrents of the text rather than floating unmistakably on the surface. In this class, you’ll learn how to approach the study of biblical narrative more deeply, accurately and effectively to see how narratives ultimately bring the reader to submit to God in Christ.
