The winner will have the most qualifying mileage during the contest dates. Grand prize TBD.
To qualify as mileage for the contest:
A minimum of one mile during the workout must be covered (i.e., two half-mile runs on the same day that are not part of the same workout do not count).
The average pace during the workout must be under 14 minutes per mile.
Workouts that have an average page of over 14 minutes can qualify for up to four miles per day.
Workouts may not split average paces (i.e., a 75-minute workout that covered five miles would be capped at four miles for the contest; nor would it be allowed to count running one mile at a sub-14 minute pace and walking four at a slower pace, for a total of five miles).
Mileage accrued at official Running Club events (i.e. Saturday morning runs) will receive a double-mileage bonus. We will continue to follow the 100-mile rule, meaning that if you are not within 100 miles of Running Club on Saturday morning (GPS evidence required) but run simultaneously at your location at 7 am ET, that mileage will count as double miles.
Workouts done with another FFC man that are not part of an official Running Club event will receive a bonus mile (i.e., if Glenn and Darryl run together for three miles, they will each get credit for four miles).
